The Guardian is the anti-ground defensive turret for the Masari.
Tactical Application[]
Guardians are uniquely available at the very start of the game for a Masari player without any prerequisites. While they are capable of dishing out very high DPS against single targets (especially against Walker hardpoints), they are somewhat ineffective against hoards of fodder-type units such as Ohm Robots. Architect may be tasked to Guardians in order to increase their rate of fire substantially, but the main benefit is the continual repairs the Architects will perform in addition to the firepower boost, allowing them to absorb a disproportionate amount of firepower before crumbling.
As with all Masari, Guardian attacks gain a damage over time burning effect against foes while in Light Mode and a snare whilst in Dark Mode. Furtheremore, with research they can gain a passive damage aura to aid against infantry while in Light Mode or Dark Matter Armor for added durability in Dark Mode.
