Quick vote? Universe At War: Earth Assault or Universe at War:Earth Assault? (Space between Earth and colon?)--SirNuke 16:07, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Which one do you prefer?. --SkyWalker 16:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
The official title seems to be with a space. I think it looks nicer with a space.--SirNuke 16:38, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Well i tried to rename it. It still showed the same title. --SkyWalker 18:36, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll give it a shot. By the way, what does everyone think of the modified story? --OpDDay2001 20:40, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
The story is much better now. :). Keep on doing the good work. --SkyWalker 10:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay, the reason is because of how the mediawiki software handles colons. Any text before a colon is designated the namespace (for example, see Universe_At_war:Copyrights, or Forum:Index). Since a legitimate page title cannot start with a space, the mediawiki software must be trimming the page title ("Earth Assult") with its namespace ("Universe At War"). Also note that the page's article tab is called "Project Page", not "Article". I see a couple of different possible resolutions:

  1. We create a template that 'fixes' the display title. Look at iPod article on Wikipedia. The page URL is IPod, but the article displays as iPod.
  2. Move the page to a title that doesn't use a colon, such as Universe at War Earth Assault.
  3. Talk the wikia people, and see if they have a better solution.

The problem will be fixed shortly. It was with the name universe at war it is going to be renamed to universe at war wiki. Which will solve this problem. The wikia team is aware of this problem and the changes will be done accordingly. --SkyWalker 10:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

story[]

the original draft of the story was full of innaccuracy and hyperbole, i made some major changes to it to make it more accurate. check it and change it as you see fit - Capt Jim 22:37, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Retreat signal origin[]

Where is it stated that the signal was from the Overseers, not a Masari trick? Word of God?

I think that was outdated plot material from an interview. I removed it for now. "Portamus nex taciti!" 16:44, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
