Vertigo

Background

A cryptography and communications protocol, Vertigo was originally a land-based detection system used to intercept and decrypt enemy communications. As the Hierarchy began to localize and protect their transmissions, Vertigo found it necessary to be able to get as close to the enemy as possible without detection. His consciousness was built into a high-speed aircraft frame, where he could continue to carry out his missions and keep the Hierarchy constantly looking over their shoulders. Vertigo's craft, while somewhat fragile, has been outfitted with Novus' most advanced cloaking device, giving him near silent and invisible operation at almost all times.

Abilities

Twin Railguns(vs. all): Vertigo employs a twin set of small railguns that fire metal slugs at incredible speeds, tearing through air and ground targets. The railgun projectiles are so dense that they can travel through several targets at a time.

Viral Control(vs. virused targets): Once a virus has been projected onto an enemy target via Novus' Corruptor unit, Vertigo can take control of that unit, running it around as if it belonged to Novus. The effect lasts for a good deal of time, and because Vertigo stays cloaked during the control, he can remain unseen as he causes chaos amidst the enemy forces.

Upload / Download(targeted ability): Vertigo reconfigures his data storage system to break down and upload a large group of friendly units in his data matrix. He can then download these units, re-assembling them wherever desired. This allows him to pick up an assault or construction force and easily move the entire group to a new location, completely undetected.
